Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Lithia Springs, Georgia, seeks a Senior Electrical Construction Estimator for data-center projects. You will prepare estimates from $20M-$100M, write proposals, and lead preconstruction efforts.

The role requires 8+ years in electrical estimating, Data Center and Accubid experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Excel and advanced estimating software; travel to projects is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in estimating or cost control and/or engineering in electrical construction.
• Data Center and Accubid experience required.
• Strong leadership ability and team mentoring skills.
• Experience with design-build projects preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and complex project management/estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and cost data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical construction projects from plans and specs.
• Write proposals capturing scope and costs accurately.
• Lead the Proposal Review Process for complete documentation.
• Serve as front-line contact for estimating efforts and new business.
• Lead estimators and preconstruction team in development of estimates and proposals.
• Develop and implement estimating standards and best practices.
• Complete estimates for plans & specs, design-build, and early budgets.
• Coordinate total estimating effort for bids/projects.
• Negotiate with vendors for quality and cost effectiveness.
• Support other departments with start-up and change-order costs as needed.
• Ensure estimates meet company requirements before submission.
