Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a subsidiary of IES Holdings, seeks a Senior Electrical Construction Estimator for Data Center projects in Lithia Springs, GA.

The role involves leading estimating efforts, preparing multi-million dollar cost estimates, and coordinating with preconstruction teams to win and properly scope large data center bids. Candidates should have 8+ years of estimating experience, data center experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Excel and Accubid.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating or cost control experience in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Data Center and Accubid experience.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Design-build quality project experience preferred.
• Hyperscale data center experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills (Excel) and experience with project management/estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical construction projects from $20M–$100M.
• Write proposals capturing scope and costs.
• Lead the Proposal Review Process and document estimates for customers.
• Serve as front-line estimating contact and help develop new customers.
• Lead estimators and preconstruction team in development of estimates and proposals.
• Develop and implement estimating standards and best practices.
• Complete estimates for plans & specs, design-build, design- assist, and early budgets.
• Coordinate total estimating effort on bids/projects as assigned.
• Negotiate with vendors for quality and cost-effective bid items.
• Support other departments; assist with start-up and change-order costs.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and meet company requirements.
