Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking a Sr. Electrical Estimator for industrial EPC and data center projects, based in Houston, TX, with fully onsite responsibility. The role supports large-scale construction across multiple sectors, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to prepare accurate estimates.

Ideal candidates bring strong electrical construction background, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with estimating tools. Data center experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Electrical construction estimating experience in industrial, EPC, or mission-critical sectors.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost estimating; evaluating subcontractor bids.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating software like Bluebeam, McCormick, or Accubid.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs; calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams during bidding.
• Analyze labor productivity and material pricing for project cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support estimating accuracy improvements.
