Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator to support large-scale industrial EPC and data center construction projects.

You will develop detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates, review drawings, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to deliver competitive bids. The role requires strong technical construction background, ability to travel nationwide, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC, or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs and construction documents.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and subcontractor bid evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the bidding process.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
