Job summary

Enterprise Electrical in Round Rock, TX, seeks an Estimator II to develop accurate, competitive estimates for electrical service work, commercial construction, and data center scopes. You will build complete pricing, define scope, and ensure estimates reflect field installation practices and productivity.

You will collaborate with field leadership, service managers, and vendors to validate scope and pricing, manage multiple bids, and explain assumptions to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in field/estimating.
• Field leadership experience preferred (foreman, superintendent).
• OSHA 30 certification required; driver's license required.
• Journeyman/Master Electrician license preferred; CPE preferred.
• 6-10+ years electrical estimating experience; large projects experience.
• Experience leading estimates for large commercial and mission-critical projects.
• Ability to mentor junior estimators.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings for conduit, feeders, lighting, panels, devices, and data systems.
• Prepare complete estimates for service work and small-to-mid-size commercial projects.
• Review drawings and specs to define project scope and labor estimates.
• Develop material lists and pricing using vendor quotes and historical data.
• Solicit and level subcontractor quotes (trenching, directional boring, equipment).
• Write scopes of work for subcontractors and internal teams.
• Respond to rapid-turn service pricing requests with same/next-day turnaround.
• Identify scope gaps and inconsistencies before bid submission.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs to validate scope.
• Coordinate with service managers, project managers, superintendents, and field supervisors.
• Support turnover by explaining estimate assumptions and labor strategy.
• Maintain cost databases, vendor relationships, and pricing benchmarks.
