Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Estimator in Austin, TX to develop detailed electrical cost estimates for complex commercial projects. The role involves evaluating documents, labor, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to produce competitive bids.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and vendors to ensure accurate estimates and successful bids on data centers, healthcare, and other high-performance facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical construction estimating for commercial or technically complex projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and scopes of work to build detailed estimates.
• Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare, life sciences, higher education, industrial, or renewable-energy projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for moderately complex electrical construction projects.
• Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other costs.
• Review drawings and contracts to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project requirements to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Coordinate with preconstruction, project management, and procurement teams throughout estimating process.
• Assemble bid packages with clear scope and instructions.
