Position Overview

The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating costs associated with electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets
• Review and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Conduct cost analysis to identify savings opportunities
• Ensure compliance with the NEC (National Electrical Code) during the estimating process
• Assess risks associated with projects and provide mitigation strategies
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers for accurate pricing
• Prepare proposals and presentations for clients
• Track and report on project costs and budgets
• Utilize MS Excel and AutoCAD for estimation processes and project tracking
• Schedule estimation tasks and manage timelines effectively
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating or related roles
• Proficiency in project management software and techniques
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction management
• Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and financial forecasting
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation
• Knowledge of NEC regulations and standards
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD
