Job description

AZAD's Client is seeking a Senior Estimator (Electrical / Mechanical) for a full-time onsite position in various locations. There are 5 positions available in Evansville, IN; Louisville, KY; Buffalo, NY; Janesville, WI; and Paducah, KY.

Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Compensation & Benefits: Annual salary ranges from $90,000 to $140,000. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, paid vacation and sick days, and bonuses.

Essential Functions:

The Senior Estimator is responsible for producing accurate, timely full-cost project estimates, including materials and labor. Responsibilities include maintaining supplier and subcontractor lists, analyzing blueprints and specifications, preparing RFQs, securing competitive pricing, and drafting proposals to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare electrical and/or mechanical cost estimates for various projects, including conceptual, design-build, and tender work.
  • Calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs based on proposals, plans, and specifications.
  • Review data to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Compute cost factors for planning, scheduling, bidding, and cost analysis.
  • Draft RFQs to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support and validate estimates.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Accubid for accurate calculations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
  • Work with estimators and the Director of Estimating to establish project costs.
  • Mentor junior estimators and assist with quantity take-offs and quotations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this client.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3-25+ years of estimating experience in automotive, data center, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree or trade certification preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of industry practices, electrical trade scope, and Bid Depository regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accubid Estimating Software.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
