About The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will oversee complete estimates from start to finish, including assigning portions to Junior Estimators, interacting with Group Managers, Project Managers, and other office personnel. You should be able to develop recap sheets, scope letters, and complete RFP responses. Additional duties include assisting in developing Junior Estimators, providing constructability input, and possessing knowledge of conceptual estimates.

In This Role You Will

• Manage the entire estimate for bid submissions and other critical duties.
• Assist in developing Junior Estimators, answer questions, support decision-making.
• Communicate with clients, engineers, and team members to clarify scope and issues; cultivate relationships to promote repeat business.
• Support operations with work breakdowns, estimate hours, change requests, and scope inclusions.
• Write scope-specific scope letters to clarify proposals.
• Proficient in Accubid or similar estimating software for take-offs and quantification.
• Process purchase inquiries, analyze quotations for price, terms, and conformity.
• Promote Total Quality Management; review vendor/subcontractor pricing for accuracy.
• Provide cost analysis and review for various projects.
• Develop Recap sheets to finalize prices; understand crew requirements, scheduling, and equipment impacts.
• Coordinate and run risk reviews; consider multiple construction types and advise on constructability.
• Recognize cost-saving opportunities without compromising project integrity.

Education/Experience

• 5+ years of electrical estimating industry knowledge.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Accubid, and adaptability to new software.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills: verbal, written, presentational, active listening.
• Positive attitude; self-sufficient and team-oriented.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education & Training

• Electrical Engineering or Construction Management Degree.
• Electrical Apprenticeship Training.
• NECA Estimating Courses.
