Our client is currently looking for a senior estimator with a background in Electrical Contractor Estimation. You will need to have a history of working on estimations for projects $8m and above.

This position is based in Charlotte, NC. WE CAN RELOCATE YOU AND COVER THE COST OF RELOCATION.

The Senior Estimator reports to the Preconstruction Manager and is responsible for managing all estimating activities for their assigned projects. The Senior Estimator will lead in estimating, planning, coordinating, and supporting work activities related to company projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, direct, and control estimating activities performed by WB Moore personnel safely and efficiently.
• Manage all activities related to assigned project estimates, including coordinating engineering efforts, consulting on design issues, soliciting and reviewing subcontractor proposals, reviewing vendor quotes for accuracy, and providing complete and detailed estimates.
• Meet regularly with relevant parties to verify that estimates are accurate and reflect actual costs. Maintain tracking records and ensure estimate system information is current and accurate.
• Ensure the availability and proper utilization of accurate information for company estimates. Follow and enforce methods and procedures to maintain consistency in estimating efforts.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, job planning meetings, progress meetings, and other relevant meetings for assigned projects.
• Engage in recruiting and developing high-quality employees to ensure a competent workforce.
• Assist in marketing efforts as needed to support company goals.
• Determine additional resource needs and present supporting data to the appropriate authority.
• Maintain positive relationships within the organization to foster a good work environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Education

• At least eight (8) years of operational experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a minimum of five (5) years performing complete commercial electrical project estimates on projects over $10M.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, Business Management, or equivalent work experience.
