Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking an experienced hardware engineer for on-site design and integration of digital electronic modules and circuit cards at Fort Wayne, IN. You will handle schematics, PCIe interfaces, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams to meet stringent military/DoD requirements.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years, plus eligibility for a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • You will design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
  • You will be doing circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • You will do requirement capture management and verification for small to medium electronic packaging circuit cards.
  • You will prepare and present project technical information to peers and internal/external customers
  • You will identify and addresses project & factory problems (Root Cause) and recommends resolutions (Corrective Actions) to ensure the successful completion and On-Time Delivery
  • You will conduct schematic Capture and Printer Wiring Board layout design experience
  • You will facilitate project tasks between cross-functional integrated product teams to ensure alignment with overall project objectives and team collaboration
