Job summary

Körber Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical engineering function for domestic and international markets. The role focuses on directing hardware and software design, managing a skilled team, and ensuring project execution across development, refurbishments, and obsolescence kits.

You will oversee design reviews, testing, and technical clarifications, while partnering with Sales and global teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in high-speed automation design and development.
• Hands-on engineering experience with panel design and automation programming.
• Experience managing engineering teams and technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical hardware design, panel design, automation programming, and related engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and provide technical direction on complex projects.
• Excellent project management skills, including monitoring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and priorities.
• Strong organizational, capacity planning, workload management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional, and international environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
• Experience with agile management methodologies, such as Scrum.
• Working knowledge of German is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware and software design activities for new developments, series equipment, refurbishments, and obsolescence solutions.
• Provide technical direction for team solutions, oversee design reviews, and organize testing as needed.
• Oversee technical clarification activities, maintain processes and schedules, and audit kits/machinery.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse technical team on complex projects.
• Support personnel development, capacity planning, workloads, and training.
• Collaborate with global headquarters on development projects and with research/engineering/management teams.
• Partner with Sales on quotations, project planning, labor estimates, and parts cost estimates.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate solutions with stakeholders.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and full development projects.
• Monitor project scope, schedules, and budgets while handling priorities.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Production, Service, Purchasing and others to plan projects and resolve issues.
• Network with customers and global groups to identify needs and develop creative solutions.
• Support training, performance management, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
