Job summary

Körber Technologies, Inc. in the United States seeks a Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical engineering function for new developments, series machines, refurbishments, and obsolescence kits for domestic and international markets.

You will provide technical leadership to designers, programmers, and support personnel, ensuring design quality, schedules, and budgets are met across global projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in high-speed automation design and development.
• Hands-on engineering experience with panel design and automation programming.
• Experience managing engineering teams and technical projects.
• Experience supporting personnel development and employee growth.
• Strong knowledge of electrical hardware design, panel design, automation programming, and related disciplines.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and provide technical direction on complex projects.
• Excellent project management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and priorities.
• Strong organizational, capacity planning, workload management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional, and international environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop practical, creative solutions.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Siemens, AMK, Beckhoff, ELCAD, and EPLAN considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of German considered an asset.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware and software design activities for new developments, series equipment, refurbishments, and obsolescence solutions.
• Provide technical direction for team solutions, oversee design reviews, and organize testing.
• Oversee clarification activities, maintain processes and schedules, and audit kits and machinery.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse technical team.
• Manage capacity planning, workloads, priorities, and training support.
• Collaborate with global headquarters on development projects and maintain relationships with R&D, engineering, and management teams.
• Partner with Sales on quotations, planning, labor estimates, and parts cost estimates.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and full development projects.
• Monitor scope, schedules, and budgets while balancing priorities.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Project Management, Production, Service, Purchasing, and other partners to plan projects.
• Network with customers and global groups to identify needs and develop solutions for new product development.
• Support personnel development and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and adhere to safety requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support projects and customers.
