Job summary

Arup in Houston is seeking an Electrical Engineering Leader to guide complex building projects and serve as Engineer of Record. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive technical excellence in electrical systems, and strengthen client relationships across Texas and the Western United States.

This role requires 15+ years of experience, a Texas P.E. license or eligibility, and a passion for sustainable, decarbonized design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineering License (P.E.) in Texas or eligibility within six months.
• At least 15 years of experience designing and leading electrical systems for complex building projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and develop client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of US and Texas electrical codes and energy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex multidisciplinary projects as Project Manager and/or Engineer of Record.
• Provide technical leadership for electrical systems design, including power distribution, emergency power, renewable energy integration, lighting, controls, and smart building technologies.
• Mentor and develop electrical engineers and multidisciplinary staff.
• Grow Arup's Buildings business in Houston and the Western United States through client engagement and market leadership.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, architects, developers, contractors, institutions, and public-sector organizations.
• Collaborate with Arup specialists across North America and globally to bring innovative solutions to our clients.
