Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a senior Electrical Engineering Manager to lead, oversee, and grow our national electrical engineering practice within the Industrial Unit. This role provides strategic direction, technical leadership, and operational oversight for complex projects across the United States.

The position involves managing Regional Technical Leads and electrical teams nationwide, establishing standards and best practices, and mentoring leaders to ensure technical excellence, safety, and quality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or equivalent.
15 years of related experience in electrical engineering and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Provide national leadership for the electrical engineering discipline as Technical Discipline Manager (TDM).
Oversee and support Regional Technical Leads and electrical engineering teams nationwide.
Establish discipline standards, design criteria, tools, and best practices across regions.
Lead, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and staff; support performance management and succession planning.
Drive growth of the electrical group through strategic hiring and capability development.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence with safety and quality focus.
