Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a senior Electrical Engineering Manager / Technical Discipline Manager (TDM) to lead and grow our national electrical engineering practice. You will supervise Regional Technical Leads and engineering teams across the United States, providing technical leadership and strategic direction for complex industrial, petrochemical, power, and utility projects.

Preferred locations include several US offices including New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for the electrical engineering discipline as TDM.
• Oversee RTLs and electrical teams nationwide.
• Establish discipline standards, design criteria, tools, and best practices.
• Mentor engineering leaders and staff; support performance management.
• Drive growth through strategic hiring and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with codes and QA/QC reviews.
• Support project delivery and client engagements.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and strengthen relationships.
