Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to head design teams on diverse projects nationwide, including power, healthcare and government facilities. The role demands 20 years experience, leadership skills, and ability to manage budgets and schedules across design and construction phases.

Responsibilities include leading electrical design from concept to construction, reviewing vendor drawings, preparing RFQs and technical bid summaries, and ensuring QA/QC across CAD outputs, with

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology with FE exam and 7+ years experience. EPC project experience preferred.
• Master degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years experience. EPC project experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures; strong knowledge of ANSI/IEEE standards; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of projects from concept to design completion.
• Prepare equipment specifications, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients and other disciplines.
• Manage project schedule, scope, budget and staffing; control change orders.
