General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. Groton, CT is seeking a highly motivated electrical engineer to provide technical oversight of construction activities for the COLUMBIA class SSBN 826 program, including final assembly, test, certification, and delivery on second shift.

The role requires a BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of post-graduate experience, ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance, and shift work with differential pay; preferred familiarity with Columbia Class Design

Competenze

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of post graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance or higher.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.

Mansioni

• Provide engineering oversight and assist electrical trade personnel to overcome emergent shipyard issues that arise during construction.
• Interpret design, drawing, and technical specification requirements.
• Provide engineering evaluation and/or direction to Groton trades via dispositions of Change Notices and TIR UNSATs.
• Provide surveillance of manufacturing, inspection, and testing of material.
• Conduct engineering evaluations to support all manufacturing and construction needs.
• Facilitate the implementation of design and process improvements.
• Coordinate engagement of design and engineering SMEs in the construction sequence.
