Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. Groton is seeking highly motivated electrical engineers to support final assembly, test, certification, and delivery of the first of class SSBN 826 COLUMBIA, on the front lines of engineering.

These roles provide comprehensive technical oversight of construction activities and require coordination with Design, Ship's Management, SUPSHIP, and PMS397 as the COLUMBIA Waterfront team grows at the Groton shipyard.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of post graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight of construction activities for electrical trade personnel.
• Interpret design, drawing, and technical specification requirements.
• Provide engineering evaluation and dispositions of Change Notices and TIR UNSATs.
• Provide surveillance of manufacturing, inspection, and testing of material.
• Conduct engineering evaluations to support manufacturing and construction needs.
• Facilitate the implementation of design and process improvements.
• Coordinate engagement of design and engineering SMEs in the construction sequence.
