CEI in California seeks a fully competent Electrical Engineer with proven experience in designing large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) from 1 to 500+ MW, interconnected at medium-voltage levels. The role requires independent problem solving and the ability to mentor others on the team.

The candidate will lead or mentor the design effort, coordinate with project management and field crews, and ensure QA/QC processes meet code requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• California PE license is required.
• 5–7 years of experience at an electrical design firm or design‑build contractor, solar experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Execute electrical designs for utility-scale PV and BESS systems.
• Produce complete construction documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Design and review AC/DC systems, grounding, DAS wiring, and electrical layouts.
• Perform and review supporting calculations: load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, power loss, thermal analysis, etc.
• Review equipment submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction with technical expertise.
• Lead internal and external coordination with engineers, PMs, superintendents, general foremen, and clients.
