Job summary

Disney in Lake Buena Vista, FL, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Projects to lead design oversight and field support for capital and maintenance work on the electric distribution system. You will manage design firms, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and ensure projects meet safety, schedule, and budget targets.

The role reports to the Manager of Projects, Electrical, and requires strong organizational skills, extensive HV experience, and a drive to advance engineering and project

Qualifications

• HV distribution experience and understanding of underground infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline design and construction teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee external design firms to meet project scope and budget.
• Support underground distribution project planning and execution, including cable work and switchgear upgrades.
• Assist with scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, GIS, construction, and contractors to ensure design intent.
• Prepare drawings, specs, bid packages, and submittals; track progress and closeouts.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and support construction.
• Assist with risk identification and outage impact assessments.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Support commissioning, testing, and closeout deliverables.
• Troubleshoot distribution equipment related to projects.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies.
