Job summary

Disney is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer- Projects to support RCES Project Management in planning, designing, field support, and documentation for electric distribution projects. This role ensures safety, schedule, and budget adherence while maintaining technical standards and operational needs.

The position collaborates with operations, GIS, and contractors, handles after-hours emergencies, and reports to the Manager of Projects, Electrical. A PE license in Florida is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience and Florida PE license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee external design firms to ensure engineering designs meet project requirements, quality standards, schedules, and budget constraints.
• Support planning and execution of underground electric distribution projects, including cable replacements, duct bank installations, switchgear upgrades, and SCADA improvements.
• Assist project managers with developing scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource plans for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, GIS, construction crews, and external contractors to ensure clear understanding of requirements and design intent.
• Help prepare project documentation including drawings, specifications, bid packages, submittal reviews, and as-built records.
• Conduct on-site field visits to verify underground conditions and support construction activities.
