Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Florida is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer- Projects to support capital and maintenance projects for the utility's electric distribution system. You will help with planning, design coordination, field support, and documentation to ensure safe, on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution.
• Utility experience in high voltage (up to 15kV) distribution.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and performance monitoring tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for a project-driven environment.
• Florida PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee external design firms to meet project requirements, quality standards, schedules, and budget constraints.
• Support planning and execution of underground electric distribution projects, including cable replacements and switchgear upgrades.
• Assist project managers with scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, GIS, construction crews, and external contractors.
• Prepare project documentation including drawings, specifications, bid packages, submittals, and as-builts.
• Conduct on-site field visits to verify underground conditions and track progress.
• Assist with project risk identification and mitigation and outage assessments.
• Maintain organized project files and reporting records.
• Provide support for commissioning activities and project closeout deliverables.
• Troubleshoot distribution equipment as part of ongoing work.
