Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in traction power and transportation electrical systems to support planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will lead multidisciplinary teams through planning to construction, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred for DC/MD/VA or reciprocity.
10+ years designing electrical systems for transportation or large-scale infrastructure.
Experience with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower or similar power system modeling tools.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of transportation electrical systems for infrastructure projects.
Design and oversee electrical infrastructure including traction power substations, distribution, interconnections, rectifier/transformer systems, switchgear, grounding, backup power.
Perform load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
Develop technical specifications, calculations, reports, and construction documents; conduct design reviews and QA/QC.
