Job summary

TYLin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in traction power and transportation electrical systems to support planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in DC, MD, or VA preferred or ability to reciprocity.
• 10+ years of progressive experience designing electrical systems for transportation or similar large-scale projects.
• Experience with traction power, utility distribution, and transportation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of transportation electrical systems across multiple market sectors.
• Develop electrical infrastructure for traction power substations, distribution, interconnections, and backup power.
• Perform power system analyses: load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, coordination, arc flash.
• Prepare technical specs, calculations, reports, and construction documents; supervise QA/QC.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
