Job summary

TYLin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with traction power and transportation electrical systems expertise to support planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and guiding projects from planning through construction.

Ideal candidates will have a PE license (DC/MD/VA preferred or reciprocity) and 10+ years of experience in

Qualifications

BA/BE in Electrical Engineering, PE license preferred.
Professional Engineer license in DC/MD/VA or ability to reciprocity.
10+ years of progressive experience in electrical design for large infrastructure.
Experience with traction power, substations, utility coordination, and electrification.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of transportation electrical systems for large infrastructure projects.
Develop technical specifications, calculations, reports, and construction documents.
Oversee power system analyses (load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, arc flash).
Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and utility disciplines; interface with stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to TYLin's transportation practice in the Mid-Atlantic.
