Job summary

LVI Associates in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to provide day-to-day technical leadership, review designs, and mentor engineers in a hybrid work setting.

You will guide Engineers on standards, perform complex designs, and lead design reviews for switchgear, control systems, and LV/MV power systems, ensuring timely technical releases and effective issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Progressive engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of applicable product design practices and engineering controls, including AutoCAD and 3D design on switchgear, control systems, and LV/MV power systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and technically review electrical engineering work.
• Guide Engineer I/II personnel on standards, methods, and difficult assignments.
• Perform complex designs, calculations, and technical evaluations.
• Support workload prioritization with the Engineering Manager.
• Lead design reviews and ensure technical comments are resolved.
• Support manufacturing/customer/order issue resolution and root-cause activities.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and technical training.
