Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s Power global practice is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to join project teams and design world-class solar power generation facilities across multiple locations. The Senior Electrical Engineer will guide design through inception to construction, adapting plans to budget, design factors and client requirements.

Responsibilities include leading electrical design, equipment specs, vendor reviews, schedules, cost estimates and reports while mentoring junior engineers

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 years of experience.
• OR Bachelor in Electrical/related field with FE exam and 7 years experience.
• OR Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 6 years experience.
• PE license preferred.
• EPC project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept to design completion with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Prepare equipment specifications, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with clients and other disciplines.
• Develop project schedule, scope, budget, staffing and construction planning.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and field inspections; resolve installation issues.
• Prepare technical reports for clients and publications.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead the discipline design for large projects.
• Develop cost proposals and project performance reports.
