Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with substitution options.
• At least seven years of government or large-vessel design/repair experience focused on MCMS and electrical controls.
• Familiarity with drafting work items, drawings, cost estimates, and technical reports for ship repair or related projects.
• Ability to work effectively remotely with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering design research and advise on technical issues or deficiencies.
• Review CDRL and other submittals from shipbuilders for specification adherence.
• Perform schematic reviews and electrical system analysis including load distribution and LVR/LVP.
• Review electrical distribution drawings, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics for NSC specifications.
• Prepare engineering charges for ship power and distribution systems.
• Analyze non-electrical changes for impacts on power distribution and interfaces.
• Collaborate with an engineering support team to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
