Job summary

Vard Marine Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and review of electrical and control systems for specialized ships.

The role includes evaluating equipment specifications, leading testing and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with Classification Society rules. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 10+ years of post-graduate experience, and advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
10+ years of post-graduate experience in the ship design/engineering industry.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
Professional Engineer designation preferred.
Strong understanding of Classification Society Rules and IMO/SOLAS regulations.

Responsibilities

Design and review electrical and control systems for ships.
Review equipment and installation specifications.
Develop testing, commissioning procedures and documentation for Classification Societies.
Lead project activities and mentor engineers and designers.
Liaise with clients and present reports in meetings; support business development.
