Job summary

Amentum, a trusted partner to U.S. government and global customers, seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support DoW programs with parts management, testing, and analysis.

This role involves leading reviews, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring component survivability across multiple programs. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in component or systems engineering, strong IEEE parts expertise, and the ability to communicate complex results to customers and program offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with IEEE parts quality and reliability standards.
• Ability to communicate ideas to customers and write technical reports.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of and response to Non-Standard Part Approval Requests for electrical components that do not meet the requirements of the Parts Management Plan.
• Lead and participate in Program Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board meetings to review, discuss, and determine the validity of non-standard parts survivability for intended use case.
• Mentor junior engineers to accurately evaluate components based on their qualification and test data.
• Collaborate with environmental and radiation test teams to complete component characterization and testing.
• Review test data and reports prior to being provided to customers.
