Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to support DoW programs, focusing on non-standard parts analysis, evaluation against MIL-STD and IEEE standards, and component testing.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering with 5+ years of experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while ensuring timely, accurate technical reports for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with IEEE parts, MIL-STD and other standards for components.
• Ability to analyze differences between military standards and part data.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of Non-Standard Part Approval Requests for electrical components.
• Lead Program Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers to evaluate components based on qualification and test data.
• Collaborate with environmental and radiation test teams for component characterization.
• Review test data and reports before providing to customers.
