Job summary

Standard Bots in Glen Cove, NY seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electronics at the heart of our robots: motor controllers, power distribution, compute, camera, battery management, and sensing boards. Lead from concept to production release and work hands-on in the lab with Mechanical, Software, and Safety engineers to ship simple, reliable hardware at scale.

You’ll spend roughly 60% on design and 40% on lab, integration, and manufacturing support, with flexibility across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years for PCBAs.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and validation of PCBAs for robot subsystems from concept through production release.
• Drive architecture decisions and advise hardware leadership on strategy.
• Hands-on schematic capture, PCB layout, board bring-up, tests, and root-cause debugging.
• Lead design reviews and manage component library and release processes.
• Be the primary technical contact for PCB fabrication/assembly vendors; drive DFM/DFA feedback.
• Mentor associate and mid-level engineers on technical and professional growth.
