Job description

Build the Electrical Systems Behind the Next Generation of Robotics

We’re partnering with a high-growth robotics AI company building technology designed to fundamentally change how robots operate across real-world environments.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical system integration across advanced robotic platforms, working across power electronics, motor drivers, sensors, PCB-level systems, EMC/EMI, grounding, shielding, and signal integrity.

You’ll work at the intersection of electrical hardware, firmware, controls, mechanical engineering, and robotics, helping take complex electrical systems from concept through validation and production.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test and validate power and sensor electronics systems

  • Design and validate motor driver circuits and power electronics

  • Integrate sensors including IMUs, encoders, Hall sensors and temperature sensors at the PCB level

  • Define grounding, bonding, shielding, filtering and cable strategies

  • Identify EMC risks early and develop practical mitigation strategies

  • Debug EMC and hardware issues using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, probes, LISNs, network analyzers and other lab equipment

  • Make system-level tradeoffs across performance, reliability, cost, schedule and manufacturability

  • Partner with electrical, mechanical, firmware, controls, systems and manufacturing teams

  • Work with external laboratories and consultants when required

  • Establish documentation and contribute to hardware engineering best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or a related discipline

  • Hands‑on experience taking electrical hardware from concept through validation and production

  • Strong experience with EMC/EMI design, debugging and testing

  • Strong knowledge of grounding, shielding, filtering, signal integrity and power integrity

  • Experience with power electronics, motor drives, switching power, high‑current DC systems and/or battery management

  • Experience with PCB design and layout

  • Experience integrating sensors such as IMUs, encoders and Hall sensors

  • Comfortable debugging hardware directly in the lab

  • Strong system‑level engineering judgment

  • Ability to make practical tradeoffs when requirements are changing or incomplete

  • Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills

If you enjoy working on difficult hardware problems where the answer isn't always obvious and want your work to directly influence the performance of next-generation robots, this could be an exceptional opportunity.
