Overview
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering and Construction team to design renewable power plants, including BESS, wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, HV substations and transmission lines.
Responsibilities
- Address relevant civil engineering topics across project development stages, ensuring compliance with safety and quality best practices.
- Autonomously design or review designs performed by external consultants for foundations, structures and other civil works.
- Ensure high level technical competence in civil engineering.
- Execute and review due diligence, feasibility studies, permitting and detailed design for renewable power plants.
- Support other units during construction, start‑up and commissioning of renewable power plants.
- Support overall project planning, CAPEX/OPEX estimating, scheduling and risk assessment.
- Prepare technical specifications and contractual documents; evaluate vendor offers.
- Participate in technical meetings and follow up on design activities performed by external suppliers and contractors.
- Provide feedback and participate in working groups for continuous improvement of design methodologies.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Structural Civil Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) license; PE certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering.
- Fluent in English; Spanish or Italian a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS or similar).
- Experience with BIM (Revit or Tekla) and Civil3D a plus.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Up to 20% domestic travel and occasional international travel.
- General knowledge in renewables a plus.
- Valid driver’s license in 50 U.S. states and Canada with a clean driving record. (See details below.)
- In the last 3 years, no driving‑related suspension, revocation or cancellation; no disqualifying offenses; no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents.
- In the last 5 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at‑fault fatal accident.
