Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with a focus on fossil and hydro power generation. You will contribute to multi-discipline projects, designing and reviewing power distribution elements and control interfaces using ETAP or similar tools.

The role is remote-eligible within the United States, with potential travel for design reviews. A BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET) and 10–15 years of relevant experience, plus PE, are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
• 10–15 years of experience in fossil and hydro power generation.
• Experience with multi-discipline projects and utility processes preferred.
• Ability to lead client meetings and communicate technical information.

Responsibilities

• Design and/or check deliverables for power generation projects, including single line and three-line diagrams.
• Prepare AC/DC elementary diagrams, BOMs, and wiring diagrams for switchgear and equipment.
• Coordinate electrical work with multi-disciplined teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead design reviews and communicate project/technical information to clients.
• Establish client relations and act as a lead in project meetings.
