Mesa Associates, Inc. in Roseville, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in fossil and hydro power generation projects.

You will independently evaluate and apply engineering principles, lead design teams, and prepare design documents for single or small multi-discipline projects. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited), 8+ years of relevant experience, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• 8-20 years of experience in mechanical engineering.

Responsabilités

• Independently evaluates, selects and applies engineering principles and practices relevant to project requirements.
• Act as Lead Engineer on single discipline or smaller multi-discipline projects and prepare design documents.
• Conceptualize initial design approach for major phase of a large project or overall engineering work on smaller projects.
• Exercise judgment in evaluation and modification of standard techniques and criteria.
• Perform calculations using engineering formulas or software.
• Manage personal task assignments and coordinate with design team to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Identify conflicting design or schedule requirements and generate Project Deviation Notices.
• May work as a Project Engineer or make project-level decisions on assigned projects.
