Amentum is seeking a Sr. Architect to lead a team of architects and designers in Oak Ridge, TN, delivering complex architectural projects from concept through detailed design. The role requires extensive experience, TN licensure or ability to obtain it, and strong IBC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited Architectural program
• 15 or more years of experience
• Registered Architect
• LEED AP Certification desired but not required
• Licensed Architect in Tennessee with current registration or licensed in another state with ability to obtain TN licensure within six months
• Experience designing commercial and industrial facilities
• Deliver a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion
• Strong knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and specifications
• Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
• Ability to follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensure work is performed under quality procedures
• Experience working within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1
• Competent using discipline specific software such as: Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.
• Competent using Microsoft Office software
• US citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of architects and designers to complete technical portions of projects within established budgets and schedules
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop life‑changing infrastructure
• Ensure work complies with IBC and project specifications
• Apply DOE/NRC-related considerations where applicable
• Maintain quality procedures and ISO/NQA-based processes
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to meet scope, budget, and schedule
