Job summary

Vector Atomic, an IonQ company, in Pleasanton, CA, is hiring electrical engineers to design ultraprecise quantum devices. You will create analog/mixed-signal circuits, develop schematics in Altium, and support PCBAs from parts selection through testing in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

You will join a cross-disciplinary team and contribute to autonomous navigation, high-bandwidth comms, and geophysical exploration projects with strong emphasis on signal integrity and lab testing.

Qualifications

• BSEE/MSEE with substantial analog circuit coursework or internship.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and communicating clearly.
• Experience using Altium to create schematics, BOMs and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicists and engineers to create quantum instruments.
• Design, implement and verify analog and mixed-signal circuits for precision INS.
• Develop schematics in Altium and apply layout techniques for signal integrity.
• Select parts, procure PCBAs, and support fabrication and assembly.
• Assist board bring-up and lab testing with oscilloscopes and generators.
• Document results and create tests for software integration.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement via issue tracking and feature requests.
