Job summary

Summer Consultants, Inc. seeks a senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for existing and new buildings, serving as the technical lead and assistant project manager. You will oversee project coordination and maintain strong client relationships in a hybrid Raleigh, NC setting.

The role requires a PE license, 10–20 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, plus Lighting Analysts AGI32 and SKM/Easypower. Excellent communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Architectural Engineering (Electrical / Lighting focus).
• 10 to 20 years of experience in design and construction administration of electrical building systems including lighting, lighting controls and interior and exterior power distribution.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) required; proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit; Lighting Analysts (AGI32) and SKM or Easypower.
• Strong communicator with the ability to supervise junior engineers and CAD operators.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for existing and new buildings as technical lead and assistant project manager for electrical projects.
• Provide project management and coordination of projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule; maintain effective client communication.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve problems; build and foster relationships with potential new clients.
• Provide technical expertise to staff and clients and mentor team members.
