Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Professional Electrical Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.

You will apply electrical engineering expertise to design control systems for industrial and municipal projects, collaborate across disciplines, and support ongoing client engagements. The role requires a minimal 7 years in electrical engineering for process-related projects, with strong knowledge of NFPA/IEEE standards and fieldable experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience with a focus on Electrical and Control Engineering for process projects.
• Strong background with industrial equipment, motors, VFDs, power distribution, instrumentation, and process controls/automation.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and managing deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for field work and client meetings.
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER preferred; safety trainings may be required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and review electrical and control system designs for greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Prepare specifications for major power system equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, control panels).
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, and protective device coordination studies using SKM/ETAP.
• Read and develop P&IDs; create and update drawings and documentation for power and control systems.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections of electrical systems; participate in meetings with clients and regulators.
• Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams; participate in business development and mentoring.
