Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (EIT/PE) in Salt Lake City, hybrid. The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in engineering consulting, with expertise in electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems for institutional and commercial projects.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required. The role involves developing designs from concept to construction, coordinating with architecture and MEPS disciplines, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT Required, PE License Desired.
• 5-8+ years of experience in designing and managing MEP projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Experience designing power and lighting building systems for complex projects.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare design calculations and layouts; engineer reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, mechanical and other disciplines.
• Experience with Educational, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Civic/Institutional projects.
• Ability to mentor junior staff; strong communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.

• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
