PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. You will lead electrical controls and power distribution design for manufactured solutions, ensuring adherence to UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards.

The role involves mentoring staff, developing schematics and BOMs, and coordinating with multiple engineering teams. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, strong technical and communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Inventor.

Qualifications

• 8+ years related experience in electrical engineering.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specs and control diagrams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk tools.
• Knowledgeable in UL, NEC, NFPA 79 standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts and BOMs.
• Mentor junior staff on design packages and documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to deliver designs.
• Review drawings for compliance with standards and project specs.
• Support manufacturing product builds and change management.
