Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Beaumont, TX facility. The role emphasizes optimization, troubleshooting, and design of electrical equipment across a broad range of voltages, with time in the field to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The candidate will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams, providing technical support and leading contractor work, while applying ExxonMobil practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems as an Electrical Engineer.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and area electrical classification standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close contact with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development to identify and implement electrical equipment repairs and reliability improvements.
• Design and specify electrical equipment such as motors, breakers, relays, generators, substations, buses, starters, transformers, and other industrial electrical equipment (480V to 230kV).
• Coordinate projects for new or replacement equipment among engineering, maintenance, and operations.
• Perform power systems simulations and analyses including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and relay coordination.
