Job summary

ExxonMobil’s Technology and Engineering organization seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for its Houston area operations. The role provides technical support to project teams, mentors engineers, and ensures compliance with electrical standards across Upstream and Downstream initiatives.

The position is based at the Spring, Texas campus, with travel to domestic and international locations as needed. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of domestic and international industry codes and standards.
• Familiar with electrical equipment sizing and specification.
• Technical mentor to early career engineers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent administrative and organizational competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to project teams across Upstream and Downstream businesses.
• Lead initiatives and advise projects on technical issues; mentor others.
• Support ongoing production and manufacturing operations.
• Apply regulations and standards (U.S. codes) in designs and practice.
• Perform power systems studies and modeling where needed (SKM).
• Support electrical maintenance and reliability programs.
• Drive optimization and reliability improvements for electrical systems.
• Coordinate cross-discipline activities and ensure project alignment.
• Assist in training and development of junior engineers.
