Job summary

PD Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to design electrical and control systems for power generation and distribution. The role collaborates with Mechanical Designers to integrate controls into electrical systems, requiring familiarity with PLCs, generator controls, and HMIs.

Candidates should have a 4-year EE degree with 10+ years or equivalent, strong CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) experience, and be able to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
• 2-year technical college degree or military experience with 15+ years of electrical and controls design/drawing experience.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and power generation and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assemblies, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Source components based upon customer requirements and specifications.
• Confer with engineering team and suppliers/vendors to develop the product.
