Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design projects across North America. Based in Lenexa, KS (or other Kiewit Power locations), you will perform detailed engineering tasks, supervise peers, and review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and API standards.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 15 years of relevant experience, with ETAP software familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering minimum required.
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with ETAP Electrical Power System Analysis software desired.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and API codes.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex calculations and applies standards with supervision; leads when working with peers.
• Reviews vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met.
• Leads mid to large-size projects or proposals.
• Prepares engineering deliverables including schematics, wiring diagrams and equipment data sheets.
