Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the Electrical Engineering department within the Manufacturing and Technology Unit. You will drive technical excellence, oversee reviews, and staff with the right skill sets across Semiconductor, Electric Vehicle, Battery, and Data Center initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, broad technical knowledge, and collaboration with clients and suppliers. Travel may be required as part of project assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree required or international equivalent.
• 13–15 years of relevant engineering experience, or 17–19 years with no degree.
• PE registration in at least one state.
• Experience on electrical engineering works in EPC projects.
• Extensive knowledge of CAD/CAE and engineering calculations; 2‑D and 3‑D CAD/CAE.
• Strong leadership, coordination with client and supplier teams, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and participates in the day-to-day electrical engineering activity on large projects.
• Supervises and reviews the work of electrical engineering personnel; estimates staffing needs and assigns work.
• Provides technical input to meet procurement requirements; prepares discipline estimates and work plans.
• Maintains coordination with other disciplines and client requirements; reviews bid evaluations.
• Ensures on‑the‑job training and development for electrical staff.
