Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across complex electrical projects in Texas.

This role requires a PE license, deep expertise in power distribution, protection, automation and control systems, and mentorship of other engineers. You will own challenging technical projects, develop innovative solutions, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and collaborate with clients, vendors and designers.

Qualifications

• Active US PE license required.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems.
• Experience in power distribution, protection, automation and control.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical expertise across power distribution, protection, automation and control systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert in specialist electrical engineering disciplines.
• Review and quality-check engineering designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Resolve complex electrical engineering and system design challenges.
• Support the design of backup generation, large-scale UPS, lighting, grounding and energy-efficient systems.
• Apply applicable electrical codes, industry standards and engineering best practices.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, control diagrams and sequences of operation.
• Support equipment testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing electric infrastructure and investigate technical issues.
• Perform value engineering to improve cost efficiency, system performance and constructability.
• Mentor and develop engineers, strengthening technical capabilities across the team.
• Coordinate with designers, clients, vendors and project stakeholders.
• Support systems involving building management systems (BMS), SCADA and power system protection.
