Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to oversee electrical design delivery in the Greater Austin area. You will lead engineers, designers and modelling staff, ensuring practical, coordinated designs in collaboration with construction teams.

You will manage design fees, workloads and resources, while acting as Engineer of Record on priority projects. Strong PE credentials and field experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• US P.E. licence required.
• 8+ years electrical engineering experience.
• Experience managing people, budgets and workloads.
• Knowledge of design calculations, system studies and applicable codes.
• Understanding of electrical construction and installation.
• Field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design teams across projects.
• Manage work plans, design fees and resources.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, grounding and standby systems.
• Review studies, resolve technical challenges and identify VE opportunities.
• Act as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, design partners and authorities.
• Mentor team members and support development.
